Who Makes up Hubcast Media? 




Working in the entertainment industry for over 30 years, Hubcast Media Productions’ President and CEO Peter Young is one of Canada's premier production entertainment specialists.

A seasoned live broadcast and studio sound engineer, with a highly respected reputation for successfully managing and supplying large-scale productions around the world, Peter continues to lead the charge in innovating disruptive new media broadcasting and live production solutions. Launching Hubcast Media Productions and building its core team with highly respected seasoned industry professionals, ensures projects that Hubcast Media Productions takes on are always at the highest quality and at an industry broadcast standard.   

Past corporate accomplishments over his successful three-decade career have included the west coast launch and national expansion of FM Systems Canada, one of Canada’s largest and most respected production companies that support events up to and beyond 100K in attendance; founding Audio Image Canada, a specialty live production and audio event recording/broadcast company servicing world-class music artists and live events around the world; and launching Alive Drive Interactive, an internationally-based interactive media technology company that focusses on media content distribution and contextual direct-to-fan marketing solutions. 

Always committed to being an industry-forward thinker and continually challenging himself to create “outside the box,” Peter’s leadership and business approach are what makes Hubcast Media Productions a valued partner in the ever-changing broadcast industry.



André Fernandes has more than 25 years’ experience behind the camera in film and video. He has shot around the world on feature films, commercials, music videos, television series, documentaries and short films, and has worked for every major Canadian broadcaster and many US studios. As Director of Photography, André “paints with light” to affect the precise mood, atmosphere and beauty for each situation. He has an eye for detail and always captures the best of both talent and location. André specializes in Steadicam work and is a fully equipped Steadicam owner/operator. Adam Kennedy is a multi-talented editor and director. A graduate of BCIT's Broadcast Television course, Adam worked at Shaw TV in Vancouver for 7 years performing all aspects of live TV production, including camera, switching, editing and directing. He has worked both in studio and on location on interview shows, music performances and sports programming.

He has directed everything from telethons to WHL hockey to Vancouver Canadians baseball broadcasts. Adam prefers doing multiple jobs to keep things interesting and is a creative editor who likes to incorporate humour into his work whenever possible. To that end, he has produced and edited many sketch comedy videos over the years. 



Michael has written or co-written over a dozen feature screenplays which have won 6 national writing competitions, including the Script Pipeline, Fresh Voices and the Scriptwriters Network High Concept Screenplay Competition. He has also written and produced sports and corporate television programming for ProServe Television and Westcott Communications in Dallas, Texas and worked as a development assistant for Hollywood producer Ed Pressman.

Michael also produced a short film for the 168 hour film festival. “A Temp For All Seasons” was completed in 2 weeks (1 week to write and prep, 1 week to shoot and post) on a budget of just $2,000 and won 5 awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Score.
